Although there is little more powerful than the written word, I find that learning something as intimate and personal as self-hypnosis needs something more sound and specifically a trusted voice to give life to those words to give them timbre, melody and beat. As a musician I believe there needs to be harmony and rhythm to assist in calming and tuning the body for life and healing. Because I feel so strongly about this, I personally teach self-hypnosis to my patients and I would like the opportunity to share that with you as well. So, I have included a sound track with this book in hope that combined, my words and voice will help you to enrich your life and to heal.

Dr. Scott M. Fried

“We are just beginning to scratch the surface of the science of mind and the countless ways that thoughts, emotions, stress, and attitude affect physiology and health. Dr. Scott Fried approaches this topic from the unique perspective of a surgeon who has witnessed the miraculous power of the mind in both his personal journey and in the journeys of many patients with a variety of complicated medical issues. The stories in the book are intriguing, thought provoking, and at times inspiring, and they are woven together with practical suggestions and solutions for gaining better control of health and well being”
